Keeping families connected without adding staff work

Family calls are the largest hidden workload in most homes. A shared source of truth turns twenty calls a week into a handful.

Most family calls are information requests

When families phone, they usually want three things: is my mother well, what is she doing this week, and who do I talk to about a concern. None of those require a nurse to leave the floor.

A read-only family portal answers all three continuously — activities, notices, and the care contacts for that home.

Say it once, to everyone

Home-wide notices — an outbreak update, a menu change, a holiday schedule — should be written once and delivered to staff and families at the same time. Duplicate messaging is where inconsistency and complaints come from.

Give families a channel that is not the front desk

Maintenance requests, suggestions and questions submitted in writing get routed, timestamped and closed. That is better for families and dramatically calmer for staff than a note passed at shift change.

Golden Gather makes this practical

Activities, incidents, dining census, notices and a family portal — in one platform your team already knows how to use.
